MEME UPDATE

All is well in MeMe's world.
Since coming into rescue she has come a long way both physically and mentally.
She continues to get better each and every day, her skin is clear of yeast & bacteria but not the mange. The swelling in her feet is gone and she can now walk and run like a dog is suppose too. She is active in playing with all the other bullies in the house and even learned to jump on the coffee table and use it as a platform to pounce on her prey AKA Fancie.. her favorite playmate.
She is now fully potty trained and knows she can potty outside with no fear of being left out for good. She has not even tried to escape the yard or surrouding. MeMe is a total lovebug when she wants but can also play hard when she wants. You can always find her at your feet either sleeping or playing.
MeMe is a very sweet bullie and it has been a complete joy to watch her blossom like she should.
Her overall health has improved tremendously since coming into rescue. However it is the mange that has a grip on her, it will and can take months of treatment to clear the mange, she has a skin scraping on Saturday to check and make sure the meds are working along with the 2 bath's a week she is required.

IT'S ALL ABOUT ME...ME

Please welcome MeMe!

Hi, my name is MeMe and I am new here.
My old owners surrendered me because they no longer wanted me and haven't for years which I knew, I even acted out all the time and they still kept me way too long, they just put me outside in a run and forgot about me.
I am now in good hands I know because I actually got to see a vet!! Finally after all these years! (sniff sniff) I am covered from nose to tail in Mange, Bacteria & Yeast infections. My ears have been so neglected they are completly sealed shut..OUCH! My nails were so long that they curled into the pads of my feet making it very hard for me to walk and let's not forget about the infections on my paws that have caused them to be twice the size they should be... double OUCH! I was infested with fleas so bad that I could not sit still for a second and because of those very fleas I now have worms inside of me causing me to be sick...I am just a wreck physically and mentally but glad to be out of that hell hole. I now have medications that will help me get better, people who love and care about me that will make sure I get what I need because it is all about Me....Me right now. I got a bath, great kibble (Oh yum good food! no more Beneful for me) a soft couch to rest on, a warm home, people who talk to me, a brother and a sister whom I don't really know that well yet but I am trying to get to know.
I am a very tiny girl...only 31 pounds (people call me the runt) I am very funny and loving, I like to cuddle and play with your hands, mostly because I dont know anything else but I am learning there are other things to play with...who would have known!?! I am a good girl now, I pee outside (which I knew, just didn't want to because I was unhappy) and I don't try to escape either, why would I do that now that I am happy, I really like it here.
